FortiWeb 2000F

5 Gbps of HTTP throughput with full WAF inspection

HTTP throughput
5 Gbps
Form factor
Rackmount

The FortiWeb 2000F delivers 5 Gbps of HTTP throughput, defending web applications and APIs against the OWASP Top 10, bot traffic, credential stuffing and API abuse — attacks that arrive as legitimate HTTPS and pass a network firewall untouched.

Is this the right model?

Where it fits — and where it stops fitting

Compare the whole range

5 Gbps across four 10GE SFP+ ports with four bypass copper. The doubling over the 1000F buys headroom rather than capability — the feature sets are equivalent — so choose it when your measured peak is within roughly half of the 1000F's ceiling and you expect growth inside the refresh cycle. Beyond this, the 3000F adds bypass on the fibre itself, which changes the deployment options rather than just the number.

Highlights

  • 5 Gbps HTTP throughput
  • Machine-learning behaviour model, not signatures alone
  • API schema validation and rate limiting
  • Hardware bypass interfaces for inline deployment

Typical deployments

  • High-traffic public web estates
  • Multi-tenant hosting where one WAF fronts many customer applications
  • Environments consolidating regional WAFs into a central pair
