The FortiWeb 1000F delivers 2.5 Gbps of HTTP throughput, defending web applications and APIs against the OWASP Top 10, bot traffic, credential stuffing and API abuse — attacks that arrive as legitimate HTTPS and pass a network firewall untouched.
2.5 Gbps with 10GE fibre and four bypass copper ports — the point at which FortiWeb stops being an application appliance and becomes application infrastructure. Worth comparing carefully against the 2000F: they share the same interface philosophy and the 2000F doubles throughput, so the decision is purely about measured peak HTTP rate rather than features. Size on real application traffic, not on circuit capacity; the two numbers are rarely close.
