The FortiSwitch 600 Series provides 2.5 / 5 Gbps access ports in 24, 48-port configurations with 25 Gbps uplinks. Managed directly from a FortiGate over FortiLink — no separate switch controller to buy, licence or run.
2.5 and 5 Gbps access ports with 25 Gbps uplinks — this is the WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 switch. A modern access point will saturate a gigabit port on its own, so feeding one from a 100 or 200 series switch wastes most of what you paid for the AP. If your wireless refresh is 6E or 7, this tier is not an upgrade, it is a prerequisite.
Highlights
- 2.5 / 5 Gbps multi-gigabit access — matched to WiFi 6E and 7
- 25 Gbps uplinks with redundant power
- PoE across the range for high-draw access points
Typical deployments
- Wireless refresh to WiFi 6E or WiFi 7
- High-density environments where APs are the dominant traffic source
- Campus access layers being rebuilt for multi-gigabit clients
