The FortiSwitch 1000 Series provides 10 Gbps access ports in 24, 48-port configurations with 40 or 100 Gbps uplinks. Managed directly from a FortiGate over FortiLink — no separate switch controller to buy, licence or run.
10 Gbps access with 40 or 100 Gbps uplinks — a server-access and aggregation switch rather than a desk-access one. Deploy it where the endpoints are servers, storage or other switches. If you are buying it for user access you are almost certainly over-specified; the 600 series covers multi-gigabit clients at a fraction of the cost.
