The 7081F is a 12 RU modular chassis delivering 1.89 Tbps of firewall throughput and 312 Gbps of threat protection through hot-swappable processor and interface modules. Interface complement depends on which FIM blades are fitted; storage is 4x 4 TB SSD and there are six power supplies.
Chosen when in-service capacity growth and module-level redundancy matter more than cost. Capacity is added by populating slots rather than replacing the appliance, and a module failure degrades throughput instead of dropping the site. If you can schedule firewall replacement windows, a pair of 4800Fs is simpler and cheaper.
